Czeslaw Jan Grycz

Czeslaw Jan Grycz has been a supporter of ICIMSS from its inception. He was the first instructor in the program, teaching a class on High-Resolution Digitization, as well as one on the Fundamentals of Internet Communication. He served earlier on the ICIMSS Board of Directors, and we are glad to have him back.

For ten years, Czet was CEO of Octavo, a digitization firm specializing in high quality imaging of rare and valuable books. He is still active in this area under the non-profit organization Libraries Without Walls, Inc. (http://www.librarieswithoutwalls.org). Libraries Without Walls is a corporation registered as a non-profit organization in the US, and a Charity in the UK. This allows Libraries Without Walls to provide high quality digitization at affordable prices to libraries and museums in the US and the EU.

Czet teaches an annual seminar in the Master's Program entitled "Technology and the Cultural Heritage Sector" at the University of Lugano in Switzerland, and is also the Executive Producer of a Television series entitled Great Libraries of the World.
